Welcome WMBI Listeners

Thanks to WMBI’s Steve Hiller and Michelle Strombeck for having Ralph and I on their show today. If you’re a WMBI listener or this is just your first time here, thanks for stopping by. If you would like to take a look at any of my films feel free to visit my website www.claymorepictures.com

If you are wanting more information on Ralph Borde and his work in India please go to www.charasia.org

I have had several people ask me about the future of Seema and what I want to do with this subject. At this point, I have two follow-up projects that I would like to do, and a few other ones lingering in the back of my mind.

First, I am working with Ralph Borde of Charasia on a documentary regarding the human-trafficking that is happening in India. This is such a broad subject that it is hard to address it in any one project. But the goal of the film is to expose the major issues and reasons that this problem even exists and what we can do about it. The documentary, I hope, will be a haunting story with a glimmer of hope as we show the work of Charasia.

Second, I have laid out a full length, live action feature for “The Story of Seema.” This will obviously be a more extensive and detailed look at this problem. It would be built off the short, and would follow Seema's life from childhood to her old age. Exploring the life of Seema, an everyman, if you will, mirrors the stories of millions living in India today.

If you are interested in supporting either of these projects, feel free to email your contact information to pete@claymorepictures.com. I would be happy to talk with you about it.

Trek to NYC

This past weekend Ellie and I trekked to New York City for the New York City Shorts Film Festival in Tribeca. Other than our late-night adventures navigating through all the construction and delays on the subway after the festival (three hours and about a dozen trains later), we had a great time. Thanks to David, Jennifer and James (the festival coordinators), who hosted a fun and classy festival and made us feel very welcome. We saw plenty of interesting films and were treated to some really great coffee!

If you haven’t had the chance to see “The Story of Seema” yet, check out http://www.claymorepictures.com/. I’d love to hear your comments. And check back soon for pictures from the festival!

More News: Chicago and Website

I have two pieces of exciting news to share:

As if September wasn’t going to be busy enough, with editing the documentary, attending the NYC Shorts Festival, and preparing to shoot my next short, I received an email on Saturday from the Chicago International Reel Shorts Festival announcing that my other film, “The Interview”, will be showing in their festival the same weekend as the NYC Shorts Fest. So, Ellie and I will be busy! If anyone is interested in coming, I will post the times and dates as soon as they announce them. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at pete@claymorepictures.com

The other big news? My friend and web administer Matt Satorius finished my website this morning. And it looks great! If you need any web work done, I highly recommend him. To see the site for yourself go to: http://www.claymorepictures.com/
